Supported browsers and operating systems by Firstbird

Firstbird was optimized for the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome Version 57 or higher
  • Mozilla Firefox Version 52 or higher
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Apple Safari 10.1 or higher (Mac only)
  • Microsoft IE Version 11

 

Firstbird2Go works on devices with following operating systems:

  • Android 4.4 and higher
  • iOS 9.0 and higher

Shifted view in your Firstbird account

In the event of your view in your Firstbird account being shifted, your current browser needs an update.

Firstbird will no longer support Internet Explorer versions 9, 10 and 11

Starting June 15, 2022, Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) will no longer be supported by the Firstbird platform. The compatibility of the Firstbird platform with Internet Explorer 9 and 10 versions was already discontinued in July 2017. Since Microsoft is officially ending support for certain operating systems, the users will no longer receive security updates or bug fixing. 

With the interruption of security updates, the risk of malware infections will increase. As a result, end-users will be exposed to high-security infiltrations.

FAQ

What does this mean for users who run Firstbird on Internet Explorer 11?

Until further notice, the Firstbird platform can run on Internet Explorer in its normal mode. However, starting in April 2022, an alert message will appear on the platform, notifying you of the upcoming end of support for Internet Explorer 11 and recommending you switch to a different browser - e.g. Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.

After June 15, 2022, Firstbird will no longer be able to guarantee the platform's proper functioning to IE11 users. Furthermore, the IE11 browser may no longer support new Firstbird features introduced following this date, limiting the platform's usability. As the IE11 browser will officially be non-compatible with the Firstbird platform, all the support requests for Firstbird malfunctioning due to IE11 browser will no longer be processed.

What does this mean for users whose company has configured Internet Explorer 11 as the default browser?

If your company is still using IE11, we recommend contacting your IT department to ensure the migration to one of our supported browsers - such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari or Mozilla Firefox - as already planned.
